About the role

As a Project Manager at Babcock, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of projects, ensuring safety, scope, schedule, finance, risk, quality, and resources are effectively managed to achieve agreed objectives.

Working within our Global PM Framework, you'll oversee the successful delivery of customer contracts that enable vital capabilities and services.

This means building and leading integrated project teams across functions such as Engineering, SHEQ, Commercial, Procurement and Supply Chain to ensure performance and outcomes are met.

With a focus on continuous improvement, employee engagement and the adoption of new technologies, you'll lead your project team to deliver world-class performance and support future growth opportunities.

About you

You are an emerging project management professional with the ability to apply a wide range of PM competencies in environments of limited complexity.

While you may still work under some supervision, you are confident in your ability to plan, coordinate and deliver projects while demonstrating sound judgement in managing dependencies, resources and risks.

You understand the importance of building strong working relationships and can bring together diverse teams to achieve shared goals.

Financial awareness, strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to evolving challenges will see you thrive in this role, as you contribute to delivering successful outcomes for both our customers and Babcock.

To be successful in this position you will bring:

  • Prior involvement in Project Management with demonstratable ability in the discipline
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve desired results
  • Understanding of AUSDEFCON (desired)
