We are seeking a highly capable and committed Payroll Manager, to oversee the Payroll function. You will lead projects and work closely with the Leadership Team based on functionality and upgrades and be the go-to for any user issues.

About the role: *
This role provides input into the financial aspects of the School’s Workcover requirements as well as coordinating and preparing annual returns and other payroll reporting.
- Direct Reports include a Payroll Officer and Payroll Administrator.
- Oversee and review payroll information and or documentation for the purpose of ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures prior to processing.
- Jointly authorise the payroll EFT monthly, review and authorise Single Touch Payroll File.
- Check and audit payroll, ensuring legislative, Employee Agreement and award compliance.
- Oversee the Payroll contribution to regular internal and external audits and calculation and payment of termination payments.
- Review and authorise new/existing salary packaging arrangements including provision of information to staff, clarifying options and assisting staff with their individual arrangements.
- Oversee the delegation of queries coming in via shared Payroll Inbox.
- Report on significant variations/issues to Business Director / Finance Operations Manager. Assist in ongoing development of the HRIS and payroll processes.
- Assist budget holders and Finance Operations Manager with SAC Reporting and maintenance of budget papers and section folders.
**About you**:
- 5 plus years within end-to-end payroll experience, with exposure to multiple systems and software’s.
- You have been in a leadership role before, or ready for the next step in your career
- You have a hands-on approach to strengthen and enhance the payroll function, with excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
- iChris or Chris21 experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- You have excellent payroll knowledge and the ability to work across variety of Awards.
- Capability in Payroll system implementation and associated policy and process establishment.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Relationship building skills with the ability to liaise with internal team members.
- An ability to adapt to an evolving role with enthusiasm.

**Salary**: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
