About the Role
As an Assistant Project Manager at Babcock, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Collins Sustainment Program.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will take responsibility for day-to-day project management activities, ensuring safety, scope, schedule, finance, risk, quality and resources are effectively managed.
This role offers the opportunity to develop and apply your project management skills in an environment of limited complexity, where you will gain exposure to end-to-end project delivery.
From planning and reporting to stakeholder management and client-facing responsibilities, you will be actively involved in ensuring project outcomes are achieved while building your capability in line with Babcock's Global Project Management Framework.
About You
You will bring a sound understanding of project management principles and the ability to apply these in practical situations. With a proactive and detail-focused approach, you are confident in supporting financial and schedule estimates, monitoring progress, managing risks, and documenting key aspects of projects.
Your strong organisational skills and ability to follow through on tasks will ensure projects remain on track and aligned with stakeholder requirements.
As a strong communicator, you will thrive in a team environment and be comfortable engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
Most importantly, you share our commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement in delivering outcomes that matter.
To be successful in this position you will bring:
- Hold relevant Project Management qualification and
- AIPM Certified Practitioner working towards Certification in Project Management
- Full project lifecycle experience from bid phase through to close out.
- Application of core project management techniques
- Ideally recent and relevant experience in a similar environment / business sector
- Ideally awareness of various contracting methodologies
