About the Role

As the Facilities and Production Engineering Team Lead, you will play a critical role in delivering engineering outcomes across complex infrastructure and production programs.

You will lead a team of multidisciplinary engineers, providing technical direction and mentoring while ensuring design and production outputs are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

A key focus of this role is the integration of civil and electrical design with production engineering, particularly relating to infrastructure layouts, cable routing, and electrical rack installations.

Working across the full engineering lifecycle, you will contribute to facility design, production integration, and systems installation, ensuring alignment with customer and compliance requirements.

Your input will be essential in coordinating the development and delivery of electrical infrastructure (including enclosures, racks, and associated services), while continuously improving engineering processes to support production readiness and ongoing program success.

About You

You are an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in civil or infrastructure design, ideally within complex environments such as defence, aerospace, or critical infrastructure.

You have hands-on experience working in or alongside production environments, with a solid understanding of how electrical racks and assemblies are designed, integrated, and installed within facility spaces.

Your leadership style fosters team growth and technical excellence, and you're confident managing a range of engineering disciplines.

You excel in coordinating design and production efforts, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, and solving complex engineering challenges with sound judgement. Your knowledge of compliance, safety, and risk management ensures the integrity of engineering outputs throughout the program lifecycle.

To be successful in this position you will bring:

  • Extensive experience in relatable technical/engineering roles.
  • A good understanding of applicable engineering toolsets (e.g. PLM or MRP systems, design, simulation and analysis software).
  • Knowledge of Facility Monitoring principles especially in defence environments.
  • Experience in Civil/Infrastructure development and installation projects
