Newcastle Maitland Hunter, Australia BMT Tax Depreciation Full time $60,000 - $80,000 per year

About the opportunity

We are looking for a personable, driven, and professional People and Culture Coordinator to join a small but passionate and effective HR Team, on an ongoing full-time basis.

Through a broad range of administrative support across the entire employee lifecycle, not only will you be the first face of HR for BMT, and the go-to for a quick question, you will ensure that all our people related data and documents are correct, comprehensive, and compliant. It's through this exposure you will broaden your skillset and lean into more challenging people activities.

You will develop a detailed understanding of BMT, and work with managers and their teams to help support and deliver key people objectives.

With a balance of operational HR support, talent acquisition, pay and conditions administration, and some meatier projects to sink your teeth into, this is a true generalist position suited to someone who is self-motivated and genuinely passionate about people.

What we're looking for

As a genuine people person, you will possess strong interpersonal and relationship building skills. You are someone who can also work well autonomously, you don't mind a little (or sometimes a lot) of administration, and you thrive on seeing results for others. You will have a positive attitude, a motivation to learn, and a demonstrated commitment to your career in Human Resources. Most importantly, you like to have a laugh and enjoy your work

Ideally, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or a related discipline, or proven experience in a relevant human resources/administration position.
  • Sound knowledge of contemporary HR practices and techniques, and an innovative approach to application
  • Strong organisational, coordination and time management skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to remain objective and composed through difficult situations, and respect confidentiality at all times
  • Proficient in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
