About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated People & Culture Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will assist in delivering our people and culture strategy, implementing People and Culture initiatives that align with our organisation/'s goals and values. You will support employee engagement, development, and well-being, ensuring compliance with employment laws and best practices. Additionally, you will coach and partner with managers, collaborate with other leaders, and build strong relationships across the business to provide solution-oriented outcomes. You will provide support across the Hunter Valley, Central Coast and Sydney Metro, so the ability to visit our depots in these areas is a requirement of the role.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the People and Culture Business Partner to achieve outcomes aligned with the overall strategy of CDC NSW.
- Provide managers and leaders with guidance and coaching support to better manage employee queries and grievances.
- Assist managers with performance management discussions.
- Partner closely with managers to execute the people strategy and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Facilitate conversations around talent management, succession planning, and team engagement.
- Contribute to strategic projects across CDC NSW.
- Facilitate projects related to organisational change and transformation.
- Provide ongoing coaching, training, and support to managers.
- Assist with remuneration matters.
- Conduct periodic reviews and develop new policies and guidelines to ensure all statutory obligations are met.
- Assist with recruitment processes, including onboarding.

Experience

- Previous experience and knowledge of HR management processes
- Ability to quickly interpret Awards and Agreements.
- Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
- Negotiating and influencing skills.
- Positive attitude and a strong desire to learn and develop.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
