The opportunity
The Community Support Administration Officer provides high-quality, responsive administrative support across a range of community service functions. The role supports staff, volunteers, and service users through efficient coordination, recordkeeping, and communication processes, helping to ensure the smooth operation and delivery of services aligned with Council's community-focused goals.
What You'll Be Doing
- Liaising with the Community Support Coordinator regarding administration tasks.
- Receiving and processing service requests both through the My Aged Care Portal and private business.
- Providing high quality administrative support for Community Support, including but not limited to phone and email correspondence, and practical tasks.
- Always maintaining the strictest confidentiality regarding clients and/or families.
- Supporting volunteer coordination including scheduling and maintenance of volunteer database.
- Providing administrative assistance to specific community life service areas such as aged service, food services, disability support, youth programs, early year or maternal child health based on team needs.
What You'll Need To Succeed
- Business Administration desirable.
- Competency in Microsoft Office and relevant data management systems.
- Familiarity with community services or aged care systems (e.g., My Aged Care Portal, Better Impact, Carelink+) is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Experience working in a client-focused environment.

Pre-Employment Requirements
Progressed candidates will be required to complete a National Police Record Check, a Pre-Employment Medical Check & a Working With Children Check (WWCC).
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa with full unrestricted working rights. Work eligibility will be checked as part of the recruitment process.
