The Opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is enabling a next-generation Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, Dassault Systems 3DExperience (3DX), and is now recruiting for a skilled and highly motivated individual, with technical knowledge and instructional skills to support the development and delivery of 3DX Training in support of the BDA PLM Product Support Team.
As the PLM Training Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in BDA's transition to 3DX, fulfilling vital Instructor delivery tasks, courseware material developmental activities, as well as collaborating with various stakeholders throughout the company, enabling next-generation processes, tools and techniques to achieve the strategic goals of the company
Working within the PLM Product Support team, you will also be expected to use your strong technical skills to support 3DX a range of technical activities, such as performing testing and validation of 3dx changes/updates to ensure they meet functional requirements
Position Responsibilities:
- Delivery of instructor lead 3DX Training sessions across multiple BDA sites
- Performing train-the-trainer and mentoring tasks for BDA Programs
- Analysing lesson framework needs and designing in person and online training solutions, including the creation of short how to videos.
- Conduct 3DX courseware continuous improvement tasks, pilot new courses with new innovative processes
- Working collaboratively with business partners to support both testing and development of new innovative processes and technologies
- Assist with performing testing and validation of 3DX changes to ensure they meet functional and performance requirements.
- Provide technical support to users on 3DX and processes.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in PLM and training delivery.
- Support project management activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resourcing
About you
- Experienced using PLM Tools (3DX, eMatrix, Enovia, Teamcenter) or equivalent
- Qualification or equivalent experience in systems engineering, aviation maintenance, software development or configuration management.
- Qualification or experience in the delivery and/ or development of technical training
- A confident public speaker who exhibits strong communication and interpersonal skills
- with the ability to collaborate and provide clear guidance on technical matters
Desirable (non-mandatory) experience will include:
- Diploma Training Design and Development (TAE or equivalent qualification.
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAE or equivalent qualification.
