Position Title: RTO Training (VET) Coordinator
Primary Location: Brisbane Head Office, Pinkenba QLD
Position Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced RTO Training (VET) Coordinator to join our team at Baseline Training. As the RTO Training (VET) Coordinator you will play an instrumental part in enhancing learner outcomes and driving program growth and quality within the organisation. This key role is responsible for coordinating and delivering vocational education and training (VET) programs on behalf of the company, and ensuring compliance with national standards, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.
This role requires flexibility to work in both office and training environments, with occasional travel to client sites or other locations as needed. The employee may also be required to work on weekends, to assist with training on a backfill basis.
Required Criteria/Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
- Extensive experience in coordinating VET programs within an RTO environment.
- Strong understanding of the Standards for RTOs 2015 and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
Experience in industries relevant to the offered training programs (e.g., emergency response, manufacturing, public safety).
CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations
- PUA20622 Certificate II in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations)
- PUA30622 Certificate III in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations)
- RII30719 Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate training programs in alignment with organisational objectives and compliance requirements.
- Monitor and maintain training calendars, ensuring adequate resource allocation.
- Manage training delivery to meet learner needs and organisational goals.
- Ensure compliance with the Standards for RTOs 2015 and other regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the development and review of training and assessment strategies and materials.
- Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits to ensure continuous improvement.
- Facilitate validation and moderation sessions to maintain training and assessment quality.
- Assist in policy and procedure development for RTO compliance.
- Lead the design and development of new courses to meet industry needs and compliance requirements.
- Update and improve existing training materials to align with current standards and learner feedback.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure course content is relevant and industry specific.
- Recruit, onboard, and provide ongoing support to trainers and assessors.
- Ensure trainers and assessors maintain current industry knowledge and qualifications.
- Act as the point of contact for learners, addressing queries and providing guidance.
- Build and maintain relationships with employers, industry groups, and other stakeholders to promote training programs.
- Liaise with clients to ensure training delivery meets their needs and expectations.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other relevant software, including the Microsoft Suite, aXcelerate, and Microsoft Teams.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Leadership and management skills to lead a team and coordinate colleagues to meet client schedules and stakeholder needs.
