Hiensch Haulage is a locally owned and growing tipper truck and road services business, specialising in cartage of quarry products, asphalt cartage, and safe haulage solutions. We are upgrading our fleet to deliver safer and more efficient services across South West Victoria.
We are now seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) to help us expand our client base and secure long-term contracts with councils, contractors, and local businesses..
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in business development, sales, or contract management (preferably in transport, construction, or related industries).
- Confident in networking, negotiation, and client presentations.
- Skilled at tender writing and proposal development.
- Organised, motivated, and able to work independently.
- Passionate about building strong relationships and delivering results.
- OHS, CoR or Traffic accreditation adventurous.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities with councils, contractors, and quarries.
- Preparing and submitting tenders, proposals, and quotes.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
- Researching infrastructure projects, market trends, and competitor activity.
- Promoting Hiensch Haulage's services, brand, and safety-first approach.
- Working closely with management to set growth targets and achieve revenue goals.
- Building policies, procedures, compliance and OHS certification.
