We are looking for a detail-oriented, organised Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join our team and play a key role in keeping our business running smoothly.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations. You will also be the go-to person for vendor management, reporting, and supporting financial audits; all while helping us identify opportunities for process improvements.

What you will do:

  • Process and review invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders (including 3-way match).
  • Manage payments (cheques, electronic transfers, and others) while keeping cash flow on track.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions, resolve discrepancies, and build strong vendor relationships.
  • Maintain accurate and organised records for all AP transactions.
  • Generate reports such as aging, payment forecasts, and expense summaries.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Oversee outsourced employee workloads and priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX/internal controls (vendor creation, audit checks, etc.).
  • Partner with internal teams across the organisation to align financial processes.
  • Recommend process improvements to boost efficiency and accuracy.

Who you will work with:

You will report directly to the Senior Financial Accountant and collaborate across the business with senior leaders, managers, employees, and external suppliers.

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
  • A strong grasp of accounting principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems (ideally NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Clear and confident communication skills when working with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • A proactive problem-solver who can resolve discrepancies quickly and effectively.
  • Team player with the flexibility to support other finance functions as needed.

(An associate's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred, but not essential.)
