**About the Opportunity**
A new opportunity available for an experienced and diligent Accounts Payable Manager to join a stable organisation based in Eastern Creek. The role will allow you the autonomy to own the Accounts Payable Function and is seeking someone who has a continuous improvement mindset to join the team. You will be a mentor, innovation leader and have a deeply ingrained analytical mindset.

**Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, responsibilities will include but not be limited to**:

- Managing and overseeing department activities ensuring they are completed accurately and on time, including assigning or reassigning tasks to team members as required.
- Hiring, training, motivating, and evaluating team members (4)
- Setting and facilitating department objectives, and implementing corrective measures where required.
- Developing, implementing, improving, and enforcing policies, procedures, processes, and controls to ensure accuracy and increase efficiency.
- Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Managing issues escalated from team members, and the business.
- Ensuring accuracy of financial data and payment transactions.
- Managing the accuracy of the vendor database.
- Compiling, analysing, and reporting financial information to management.
- Other ad hoc duties

**The successful applicant**:

- Previous experience managing an Accounts Payable team of 5 people.
- Superior attention to detail and accurate data entry.
- Experience working with inventory for Accounts Payable
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify & improve operational inefficiencies, as well as project manage new initiatives.
- Previous experience using large ERP systems (E.g SAP, Oracle, JDEdwards)
- Intermediate Excel Skills
