About the Role

Join the Australian Computer Society (ACS) and contribute to a high-impact national program driving the growth and professionalisation of Australia's cyber security workforce.

As a Project Coordinator, you'll play a key supporting role in the successful delivery of the Growing & Professionalising the Cyber Security Industry Program. Working closely with the Project Manager and program team, you'll provide structure, coordination, and oversight across multiple workstreams to ensure deliverables are achieved on time, within scope, and to a high standard.

This role offers the opportunity to work across a dynamic consortium of partners, including government, industry, and education, to deliver initiatives that strengthen Australia's technology and security capability.

This role is fixed term for 18 months with the opportunity to become permanent in the future.

About You

You're an experienced and organised project coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You bring a mix of technical know-how, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to coordinate complex activities and keep projects moving forward.

You'll also bring:

  • Proven experience coordinating projects or programs within a professional or technical environment
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Experience supporting budget tracking, procurement, and reporting
  • Proficiency with project tools and documentation management systems
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to challenges
  • Experience in government-funded programs, education, or technology sectors will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support all aspects of project delivery across multiple workstreams
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, documentation, and reporting
  • Manage meeting logistics, prepare agendas, take minutes, and track actions
  • Maintain and update project registers, including risks, issues, dependencies, and lessons learned
  • Support procurement, invoicing, and timesheet reporting in line with budget requirements
  • Monitor progress against milestones and report on outcomes
  • Facilitate communication across project teams, consortium partners, and stakeholders
  • Support risk management, quality assurance, and governance processes
  • Ensure accurate documentation and version control in compliance with ACS frameworks
