Catering & Event Manager – Corporate Accounts

Full-time | Abbotsford | Monday–Friday (no weekends)

At Urban Foodies, we make Melbourne's workplaces happier (and hungrier) with fresh, seasonal food that's big on flavour and low on fuss. We're looking for a Catering Manager to run the office/orders who's as passionate about people as they are about great food — someone who thrives on organisation, service and detail.

About the Role

This isn't your typical "Catering Manager" role.

No table setting or pouring drinks (and limited event styling) - this Monday-to-Friday, office-based position is all about exceptional customer service. You'll manage client enquiries, prepare quotes, oversee orders, and work closely with our chefs to make sure every catering request runs seamlessly from start to finish.

Think Account Manager meets Catering Pro: organised, relationship-driven and unflappable. You'll also help grow the business by re-engaging past clients and turning great service into repeat bookings.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Manage incoming corporate catering enquiries and bookings
  • Prepare accurate quotes and process orders through our online system
  • Liaise with the kitchen and operations team to ensure flawless execution
  • Review dietary requirements and suggest suitable menu solutions
  • Build strong client relationships through excellent service, clear communication and menu know-how
  • Reconnect with past clients and identify new opportunities to grow corporate accounts

You'll Succeed If You Have

  • A genuine love of food and solid knowledge of catering or current food trends
  • Strong admin and computer skills (Word, Excel, CRM or order management systems)
  • Excellent communication skills - clear, friendly and professional
  • A knack for keeping clients happy and calm, even when it's busy
  • Experience working with corporate clients, EAs or office managers
  • Exceptional organisation skills and the confidence to work independently
