· Prepare and cook a wide variety of dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu, including daily specials.
· Design and develop new menu items based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
· Ensure all dishes are prepared with attention to detail, presentation, and taste.
· Supervise and train kitchen staff, delegating tasks as necessary.
· Manage inventory and order supplies as needed, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
· Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation standards to ensure consistency.
· Ensure kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are maintained at all times.
· Work closely with the restaurant manager to plan and execute special events and promotions.
· Monitor and manage food costs and portion control to minimize waste.
· Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation procedures.
· Collaborate with the front-of-house staffto address customer feedback and ensure a seamless dining experience.
Skills and Experience
· At least one year full-time as a chef in a similar setting.
· Diploma of Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)
· Excellent organisational and time management skills.
· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong leadership and team management abilities.
· Strong culinary skills and creativity in menu development.
