The Opportunity

We're seeking a
qualified Financial Accountant
to join the Melbourne CBD finance team. This role will play a key part in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting month-end processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management reports, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate results.
  • Assist with statutory and tax compliance, including coordination with external auditors.
  • Partner with operational and commercial teams to provide financial insights and analysis.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting processes.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

  • Ideally CA qualified or CPA qualified
    (essential).
  • Degree in Accounting, Commerce, or related field.
  • 3–5 years' experience in financial accounting, ideally within FMCG, retail, or similar industries.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
  • Excellent Excel skills and experience using ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Must have
    full working rights in Australia
    (no visa sponsorship available).
