About the Role

As a member of our dynamic Finance & Administration team, and reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will manage the company's core financial accounting functions, incorporating General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Taxation (BAS, FBT, WHT), Audit and Financial Reporting, etc.


Key Accountabilities

  • Facilitate and complete preparation of monthly management accounts in accordance with close procedures and reporting timelines
  • Review all monthly General Ledger reconciliations and Balance Sheet accounts including validations and representations
  • Maintain Chart of Accounts
  • Maintain General Ledger and Sub Ledgers including Fixed Asset Register
  • Assist with the preparation of annual Statutory Accounts
  • Schedule and coordinate external and internal audits for all entities within the Ultradata Group
  • Manage provision of schedules, reconciliation and supporting documentation for income tax returns and booking of tax entries
  • Prepare monthly BAS and PAYG returns
  • Complete annual FBT Returns
  • Oversee the junior Receptionist/Administration Officer in the team
  • Manage adhoc business queries regarding financials, analysis and interpretation of requirements as presented
  • Prepare ABS Returns.

What You Bring

  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in an accounting environment in Australia
  • A degree in accounting or finance (CPA/CA desirable)
  • Sound knowledge of relevant financial accounting standards
  • The ability to interpret legislation relevant to this position
  • The ability to effectively use Microsoft Excel skills for reports/data analysis/calculations
  • The skills to work unsupervised and prioritise work activities
  • Mentoring or supervisory experience leading a small team
  • Permanent residency in Australia.
