We are looking for a skilled Financial Accountant with strong technical accounting expertise and hands-on experience across core financial processes. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information through the preparation of monthly general ledger reconciliations, month-end journals and reporting. You will also support invoicing, bank reconciliation, contractor payment and assist with internal and external audits, contributing to the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations.
To Be Successful In This Role You Will Have
- Proven experience in financial accounting in a commercial organisation with a strong knowledge and understanding of accounting standards and compliance requirements.
- Experience in BAS & FBT and other statutory reporting requirements, including preparation and lodgement.
- Hands-on experience in month-end and End of Financial Year (EOFY) closing processes, including the preparation of general journals, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and associated schedules.
- Strong capability in Invoicing, payment processing, and intercompany transactions.
- Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail in bank and credit card reconciliations and ensuring compliance with company policies
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, SAP by Design, SAP Concur and other accounting software
- Working knowledge of Power Query and data transformation in Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving accounting discrepancies.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a focus on maintaining integrity and confidentiality in all work.
You will have Degree in Commerce, Finance or Accounting with a minimum of 5 years' of accounting experience within commercial organisations, and be CPA or CA qualified (or working towards qualification)
