Beacon Legal is a recruitment and career consultancy for the legal industry. We combine legal qualifications and experience with recruitment management to provide a bespoke service to candidates and clients.

Our main offices are in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, London and Dubai and we provide services in key international markets: Australia, the U.S., Asia, UK, UAE and Offshore.

We currently have close to 30 staff and are looking to grow by 50% over the next two years. We aim to do this whilst enhancing our reputation as a reliable, credible and specialist legal recruitment business, which mirrors the professionalism of our clients.

Role

Due to growth, we're looking to hire a motivated and driven individual to join the team as a
Recruitment Consultant
. The role will support our high-performing private practice team based in Sydney.

The role will see you being responsible for all aspects of candidate generation (i.e. sourcing lawyers) including: taking relevant briefs from clients, attending meetings with HR Leaders and Senior Lawyers, sourcing candidates through databases and online platforms, head-hunting lawyers through warm and cold calls, selecting and matching candidates for appropriate positions, prioritising candidate care and management (including arranging interviews), and conducting reference checks as required.

It is also envisaged that you will continue to develop relationships with relevant candidates, fostering positive, productive and long-term referral networks.

Requirements

This role is the perfect opportunity for a dynamic self-starter looking to develop their career in the legal industry. You'll continue learning about the legal market in detail and the role will give you all the tools necessary to facilitate your creation of a very active desk.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to be:


• Enthusiastic and willing to learn


• Comfortable with cold-calling lawyers (TeleMarketing/TeleSales experience would be considered)


• Organised and capable of managing your time effectively


• Resilient, empathetic and have strong interpersonal skills


• Self-motivated and hard-working


• Interested in being part of a fast-paced team environment;


• Down-to-earth, with a sharp wit (we love a laugh and a joke).
