Sonder is looking for a Law student or recent Law graduate to join the team on a part-time
basis
as a
Legal Recruitment Assistant
with our growing team in
Sydney.

The role will sit alongside our Managing Director to assist with project processes and candidate identification. There are strong career progression opportunities, for the right candidate if they want to progress with Sonder post-graduation.

The role would suit a candidate who is currently studying Law and wants a part-time role to further expand their legal industry knowledge. Given Sonder's strong ties with prestigious firms worldwide, this opportunity presents the opportunity to gain invaluable exposure to real-world legal operations, collaborate with legal professionals across jurisdictions, and build a global network that could accelerate future career prospects in private practice.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identifying candidates and building project lists.
  • Building relationships with candidates and clients.
  • Contacting potential candidates via our database, email and other networking platforms, such as LinkedIn.
  • Scheduling follow-up contact points with candidates for the team.
  • Updating our database with all candidate information and recruitment processes for the team.
  • Collecting intel on hiring trends and recent people moves, and reporting to the team.
  • Drafting job specifications.
  • Drafting job adverts.
  • Assisting with drafting blogs and other marketing materials.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently studying, or recently graduated - Bachelor's degree – LLB.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Passion for contributing to the growth of a dynamic organisation.
  • Drive to grow & develop every day.
  • Interest in the global legal landscape.
  • Ability to work well in a team as well as independently.
  • A proactive, positive and energetic approach and attitude.
