What you'll do:
As a Legal Resourcing Consultant based in Sydney CBD, you will immerse yourself in the dynamic world of legal secondments. Your day-to-day activities will revolve around building meaningful connections with both clients and candidates-understanding their unique needs and aspirations while facilitating successful placements. You will be responsible for managing every stage of the secondment process: from initial candidate engagement through interviews and shortlisting, right through to contract negotiation and ongoing assignment support. Your ability to communicate empathetically, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and collaborate across various teams will be key to your success. By maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and ensuring each placement runs smoothly from start to finish, you will play an essential role in delivering value not just for clients but also for the talented professionals you represent.
- Liaise closely with Partners and client Hiring Managers to gain a deep understanding of secondment requirements and ensure seamless delivery of legal talent solutions.
- Conduct thorough interviews with new referrals to assess their suitability, availability, and alignment with client needs, ensuring only the most qualified candidates are presented.
- Engage proactively with passive candidates within the database to explore their openness to new opportunities and maintain an active pipeline of talent.
- Shortlist and present highly qualified candidates efficiently in response to urgent client demands, ensuring timely fulfilment of secondment roles.
- Negotiate terms of business including contract rates and margins with both clients and candidates, demonstrating commercial awareness and sensitivity to stakeholder needs.
- Coordinate all aspects of contract preparation, extensions, and terminations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for contractors during their assignments, providing ongoing support and addressing any issues that may arise.
- Conduct regular check-ins with contractors to facilitate contract renewals or redeployment into new roles as appropriate.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams such as People & Development, Business Development, Global Business & Acceptance, and Finance to ensure smooth operational processes.
