We are currently seeking a dedicated female support worker to provide individualised, person-centred support for our client residing in an aged care facility in Mordialloc. This is a temporary position - ideal for someone who is confident working with clients with complex physical and mental health needs.

Hours: 19 hours per week, Monday – Friday

About the Role:

You will be supporting our client who presents with a range of complex physical and mental health conditions.

Your role will focus on both emotional/social support and community access, including:

  • Engaging with her in the facility and encouraging positive social interaction with other residents.
  • Supporting her to attend outings and encouraging participation in meaningful daily activities.
  • Monitoring and responding compassionately to her mental health needs.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Certificate IV in Mental Health, Individual Support or Aged Care; 2nd/3rd year in Psychology or Nursing.
  • Experience in mental health is mandatory.
  • Confident working independently and engaging clients in community activities.
  • Excellent communication and de-escalation skills.
  • Empathetic and calm under pressure.
  • Skilled at building trust and rapport with clients with complex mental health needs.
  • Ability to set clear boundaries while remaining supportive.
  • Current Victorian Driver License (essential)
  • Mandatory certificates required in the Care industry (must be willing to obtain)
