About the Role

We are seeking an Engineering Technologist to support our production and quality teams. The role involves applying engineering and technological expertise to improve CNC machining processes, ensure compliance with aerospace and defence standards, and contribute to innovation in manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply engineering principles to support CNC milling, turning, and assembly operations.

  • Assist in developing and optimising tooling, fixtures, and jigs.

  • Prepare and interpret CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.

  • Support prototype development and precision manufacturing projects.

  • Conduct testing and inspection using advanced metrology tools (CMM, optical systems).

  • Ensure compliance with AS9100D and OH&S standards.

  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams on technical requirements.

  • Support process improvement, lean manufacturing, and automation initiatives.

  • Provide technical guidance and training to production staff.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering preferably in mechanical or equivalent

  • At least 3 years' experience in a related field

  • Preference for experience in precision manufacturing or CNC machining.

  • Proficiency in CAD and technical documentation.

  • Strong understanding of quality assurance systems.

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and process improvement.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
