We are seeking a motivated Regional Sales & Service Specialist in Marine to join our sales team in New South Wales. In this role, you will be the face of Garmin's marine division across your territory, responsible for strengthening dealer relationships, growing sales, and supporting customers with technical expertise and aftersales service.

This role could suit candidates located from Central Coast to Wollongong, or throughout the Greater Sydney region.

What you'll be doing:

  • Promote and represent Garmin marine product portfolio in a professional and engaging manner through retail and technical dealer channels, ensuring strong brand visibility and market presence.
  • Develop and implement sales plans, and promotional initiatives to drive revenue, growth, increase market share and achieve sales targets.
  • Build, manage and maintain strong relationships with dealers and existing accounts, ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction and business development.
  • Provide comprehensive support to resellers, including product guidance and sales to facilitate revenue generation and enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within NSW focusing on expanding the company's reach and strengthening our market position.
  • Drive the development of new market segments by identifying potential growth areas and tailoring sales strategies to meet the unique needs of emerging customers.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly sales forecasts for assigned region.
  • Create and implement sales strategies to increase market share and profits within a specific region.
  • Continuously analyse market trends, customer demands and competitor strategies within New South Wales, to refine sale approaches and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Deliver impactful and persuasive sales presentations to both prospective and existing accounts, effectively communicating product benefits and value propositions.
  • Participate and assist with the planning and execution of trade and consumer shows across NSW and overseas, including occasional weekend work, to engage with key industry stakeholders.
  • Maintain in-depth product and pricing knowledge, to provide accurate information and support sales efforts.
  • Attend ongoing training, team meetings, and regular sales meetings, as required, to ensure alignment with company objectives. Travel maybe be international.
  • Execute retail merchandising and in-store marketing promotions to enhance product visibility and optimise sales performance.
  • Active thorough understanding of the uses and general functions of marine products, and other electronics in entertainment, ensuring an ability to educate and support customers effectively.
  • Prepare and submit detailed trip reports, sales updates, and market insights in a timely manner to ensure clear communication with management.
  • Conduct dealer product training sessions, when required, to enhance product knowledge and sales effectiveness.
  • Travel extensively within NSW, often independently, to maintain regular customer engagement and support business objectives.

About You:

  • 3 years' experience in Marine sales and marketing, and/or equivalent
  • Met and/or exceeded past sales goals.
  • Demonstrated self-motivated, results-driven salesperson, with excellent time management skills, ensuring productivity and efficiency while balancing travel, client meetings and administrative responsibilities.
  • Active enthusiast and participant in marine recreational activities.
  • Demonstrated proactive and adaptable mindset, with a willingness to take initiative, solve problems, and continuously seek new opportunities for business growth.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers, colleagues and industry professionals to build strong, long-lasting relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating across all business units to ensure execution of strategies.
  • Proven track record of sales successes and thinking outside the square.
  • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail, while ensuring accuracy in reporting, documentation and data management.
  • Possess a high-level business analytic skill encompassing technical proficiency.
  • Possess diagnosis and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident and engaging presentation skills, with the ability to deliver sales and product demonstrations to a variety of audiences.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and other relevant software applications, with the ability to generate reports, track sales performance and analyse data effectively.
  • Valid driver's and boat license and passport, with the ability and willingness to travel extensively across New South Wales, and internationally, as required.
  • Must live and breathe what we do.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in the marine industry dealing with technical electronics.
  • Experienced in the installation of marine electronics.
  • Experienced and active sailor or fisherperson.
