YOUR OPPORTUNITY
Due to continued project growth nationally, NACP Projects is looking to expand our team of experienced construction professionals in 2025 and are now seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Operations Manager to lead project delivery across a thriving construction business unit. In this hands-on leadership role, you'll oversee project teams, drive safety and quality, manage budgets, and build strong client relationships. With 10+ years' construction management experience, you'll bring commercial acumen, people leadership, and a passion for delivering projects on time and on budget. In this pivotal leadership role, you will:
- Provide day-to-day leadership of all project delivery staff across the business unit.
- Oversee the safe delivery of all construction projects, ensuring outcomes meet profitability, quality, and productivity expectations.
- Drive a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, operational reporting, and contribute to strategic business planning.
- Build strong client relationships and support business development activities.
- Mentor and develop project teams, ensuring succession planning and performance growth.
- Represent NACP Projects with professionalism in dealings with clients, government, industry, and community stakeholders.
What we are looking for
:
You will have a tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Project Management or similar and proven experience in the Australian market. You will be able to demonstrate your experience in a similar position within the Australian construction industry preferably across aviation and/or defence industry contractors. The successful candidate will also need to provide a current police check, proof of residency/working entitlement and identity verification information prior to being made a formal offer. Australian citizens who are eligible to apply for/currently hold a AGSVA security clearance would be required. The position requires regular interstate travel to various locations to support our construction teams.
Demonstrated experience in:
- Leading and managing teams of construction professionals including mentoring, training and performance management.
- Outstanding stakeholder management and client focus.
- An understanding of building methodologies and current industry best practice.
- Programming skills utilising MS Project.
- Understanding of current Work Health Safety and Environment Acts and Legislation.
- Quality management and continuous improvement practices and processes.
- Monthly commercial reporting, progress claims and variations.
- Effective implementation and knowledge of Contracts models to support our teams deliver projects.
- Negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
- Working within externally and OFSC accredited systems.
