About the Role

  • This key leadership role within the Engineering team ensures the effective commercial governance and performance of ATOM's asset management including the commercial delivery of capital projects up to $50 million.
  • Operating within a client-side delivery model, this role is responsible for managing all aspects of commercial strategy, commercial tendering and contracts, contract administration, cost management, procurement interface, and risk analysis throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • The Commercial Manager will work closely with project managers, engineering, procurement, legal, and external delivery partners to ensure transparency, accountability, and value protection in all commercial dealings.

About You

  • A commercially astute professional with a strong track record managing large complex commercial functions in industrial project environments. You bring deep knowledge of project delivery models and financial structures, and you are confident in engaging with legal, technical, and executive stakeholders to protect value and ensure project success.
  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce, construction law, engineering, quantity surveying, or a related field.
  • Proven experience supporting client-side asset management agreements and projects valued up to $50 million.
  • Deep knowledge of commercial models such as EPC, EPCM, D&C, and Principal Contractor delivery structures.
  • Strong contract drafting, interpretation, and negotiation skills, with experience managing AS4000, AS4902, or bespoke agreements.
