The Role:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee our devanning operations in Queensland. locations include Berrinba, Yatala, Wacol, and Rochedale with a couple based near the city also.
As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our crew, ensuring containers are unloaded efficiently and safely while maintaining the highest standards of service for our clients. You will also be a key point of contact for both the client and crew, ensuring smooth operations, troubleshooting issues, and supporting the team's success.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage devanning crews on-site, ensuring health and safety protocols are strictly followed.

Ensure all containers are unloaded efficiently and in line with client KPIs and expectations.

Maintain clear communication and operational flow.
-
Provide hands-on leadership to crews, offering guidance and support as required.

Conduct regular safety audits and ensure compliance with PPE and workplace safety standards.

Report on daily operations, challenges, and productivity to the National Operations Manager.

Train new team members and support their integration into the crew.
-
Handle on-site operational challenges quickly and professionally.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics or warehouse operations, with a focus on leadership and people management. You are a strong communicator, solution-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Skills & Experience:

Must have proven experience in container unloading and export operations.
-
Experience in logistics, warehouse, or devanning operations.
-
Forklift experience and a valid forklift licence (preferred).

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.

Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and internal teams.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and multitask.
-
A hands-on approach to identifying and solving operational issues.
-
Solid knowledge of health and safety regulations, especially in warehouse or logistics environments.

Flexibility to work varying hours to meet operational requirements.
