About Us

Legend Institute is a nationally recognised Registered Training Organisation (RTO) committed to delivering high-quality vocational education and training. We are expanding our trade training division and are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Trainer and Assessor for Certificate III in Joinery to join our growing team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering, assessing, and supporting learners undertaking the Certificate III in Joinery qualification. You will work closely with our academic and compliance teams to ensure all training and assessment meet ASQA standards and industry expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality training and assessment for Certificate III in Joinery (CPC31920 or equivalent).
  • Develop and maintain training resources in line with training package requirements.
  • Support and mentor students throughout their learning journey.
  • Maintain compliance with RTO Standards and internal policies.
  • Engage with industry to ensure training reflects current practices and trends.

Essential Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122).
  • Qualification in Joinery or related trade (Certificate III or higher).
  • Current industry experience demonstrating vocational competency.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining industry currency and continuous professional development.

  • Copies of qualifications and USI transcript.
  • Verification of qualifications, especially if obtained via RPL.
  • Industry currency documents, which may include:
  • Employer reference letter, or
  • ASIC documentation and recent invoices if self-employed.
  • Trainer Matrix mapping competencies to each unit.
  • Evidence of professional development activities (related to both VET and industry).
