Lead Trainer and Assessor – Trade Qualifications

We are seeking passionate and experienced Lead Trainers and Assessors to lead the delivery of the following nationally recognised qualifications:

  • CPC33020 Certificate III in Bricklaying and Blocklaying (1 position)
  • CPC31020 Certificate III in Solid Plastering (1 position)
  • CPC31220 Certificate III in Wall and Ceiling Lining (1 position)
  • CPC31920 Certificate III in Joinery (1 position)
  • CPC32620 Certificate III in Roof Plumbing (1 position)

About the Role

As the Lead Trainer, you will take full ownership of delivering high-quality, compliant, and engaging training and assessment across the qualifications. This role suits an experienced vocational educator who can combine hands on delivery with leadership, coordination, and operational oversight of the training environment.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Assessment

  • Deliver and assess in line with Training Package requirements and RTO standards.

Team & Leadership

  • Lead by example and support other trainers to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
  • Coordinate training schedules, assessments, and validation activities.

Workshop & Resources

  • Set up and maintain a safe, well organised training space.
  • Manage tools, materials, and equipment, ensuring everything is ready for training sessions.

Compliance & WHS

  • Ensure all activities meet RTO, industry, and WHS requirements.
  • Keep accurate training records and promote a safe learning environment.

Quality & Improvement

  • Contribute to course development and continuous improvement.
  • Stay up to date with industry practices and training standards.
  • Support students' learning, monitor progress, and help them achieve successful outcomes.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • A relevant trade qualification in one of the following areas (or equivalent):

  • CPC33020 Certificate III in Bricklaying and Blocklaying

  • CPC31020 Certificate III in Solid Plastering
  • CPC31220 Certificate III in Wall and Ceiling Lining
  • CPC31920 Certificate III in Joinery

  • CPC32620 Certificate III in Roof Plumbing

  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent).

  • A minimum of three years' recent, relevant industry experience in the trade area.

  • A commitment to maintaining industry currency and engaging in ongoing professional development.

  • Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills, with the ability to support and inspire both learners and colleagues.
