ABOUT US:

Tecalemit is an Australian company established in 1940 and have been designing / importing and manufacturing lubrication equipment, fluid transfer and workshop equipment and vehicle hoists. Our primary customers are agriculture, automotive, industrial, mining and transport. As one of Australia's most trusted brands for the past 80 years, Tecalemit supplies industrial lubrication solutions domestically and worldwide.

THE ROLE:

Reporting through to the National Sales Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for hunting for new business across SA for lubrication equipment and vehicle hoists. A supportive culture exists whilst allowing the right applicant to grow the portfolio to develop strong relationships and results within the territory. There will be an element of maintaining existing relationships to protect it from competition, however the measure of success will be based on business growth.

As a natural hunter of new business, you enjoy the sales process and not afraid to cold call across a range of industries and management levels. You will be comfortable 'getting your hands dirty' and being onsite reviewing workshops and their lubrication and associated equipment. Where required you will to support our customers and improve your overall understanding of how our equipment functions and installed.

The products we sell, and the customers we trade with rely on us to support their businesses both in field and to understand their 'vision', then design and propose a solution. Many of the products we supply the market are often customised, relying on your mechanical understanding to ensure the solutions work as proposed.

As the role looks after all of SA, you will be required to travel to support and grow the portfolio whilst always on the lookout for new opportunities where gaps or opportunities exist. The existing customer base is an expansive mix of distributors/resellers, dealership groups and private workshops. You will understand the different strategies required to communicate and sell to them, requiring differing approaches to ensure sales targets are achieved.

ABOUT YOU:

· Ideally, 5+ years' sales experience where technical solutions are being sold – not 'box in box out'.

· Natural hunter of new business and comfortable being challenged with new concepts or customer requirements that may not always be straightforward.

· Previous automotive or mechanical experience (ideal but not required) and/or previous experience selling lubricants and workshop equipment.

· You are organised, intelligent with strong written and computer skills (Microsoft office suite), ensuring you could be installing a pump in the morning and answering a tender document in the afternoon.

· A naturally inquisitive personality where you take charge of your own learning and development (that is also supported by the business) to develop your understanding and knowledge of the industry and products.
