Role Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of bonded and 3PL warehouse operations at the Sydney site. This role ensures compliance with Australian Border Force (ABF) and Biosecurity regulations under the 77G bond licence, while maintaining efficient workflows for 3PL client storage, handling, and distribution. The Supervisor leads a team of warehouse staff, ensuring safety, accuracy, and compliance across all activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Bonded Warehouse Compliance (77G Licence)

  • Oversee all cargo movements in and out of the 77G bonded area.
  • Ensure segregation of bonded vs. cleared cargo.
  • Maintain accurate records of outturn Biosecurity directions, and seizure notices.
  • Conduct and sign off on weekly bond checks and compliance reports.
  • Ensure visitor access protocols are strictly followed.

2. 3PL Operations

  • Supervise receiving, put-away, storage, picking, and dispatch processes for 3PL clients.
  • Ensure accurate stock control and reporting.
  • Address discrepancies, damages, or stock issues promptly.

3. Leadership & Team Supervision

  • Allocate daily tasks to warehouse staff and monitor performance.
  • Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to the team.
  • Enforce warehouse safety standards, including forklift use and PPE compliance.

4. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with ABF, Biosecurity, WHS, and company SOPs.
  • Maintain housekeeping and traffic management standards across the warehouse.
  • Report and investigate incidents, near-misses, or non-compliance.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance schedules.

5. Reporting & Communication

  • Submit daily/weekly operational and compliance reports to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Liaise with ABF, Biosecurity officers, clients, and transport providers.
  • Support audits and ensure documentation is always audit-ready.

Skills & Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in warehouse supervision (bonded/3PL environment preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of 77G bond requirements and 3PL operations.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (e.g., Storman, CW1).
  • Valid forklift licence (LF) with high safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Strong understanding of WHS and compliance frameworks.
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 25kg.

Performance KPIs

  • 100% compliance with ABF & Biosecurity requirements.
  • On-time completion of weekly bond checks and reports.
  • Stock accuracy > 98% across all 3PL clients.
  • On-time freight outturning (e.g., Monday 9 AM KPI post-weekend).
  • Zero tolerance for safety breaches or non-compliance.
