Job Overview:

As Managing Director within this media agency, you will drive the strategic vision and growth agenda for this business. Sitting on the ELT, you will be responsible for overseeing a sizeable team, operations, and developing long-term relationships with key client C suite stakeholders, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery. This role demands a blend of strategic thinking, creative innovation, and strong leadership to navigate the rapidly evolving media landscape, maintaining our client's competitive edge. The successful applicant will not accept the status quo, be hungry to affect change, influence culture and grow this business.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Help develop and implement the agency's strategic vision and plan to drive growth and profitability.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities and market trends.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the team.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and objectives.
  • Oversee the development and execution of media strategies that meet client goals.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention through exceptional service delivery.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring efficient processes and high-quality outputs.
  • Manage your portfolio's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Implement and monitor performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of media professionals.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Identify training and development needs, providing opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field

Experience:

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a media business.
  • Strong track record of business development and client management.
  • Extensive knowledge of media craft.

Skills:

  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in media and marketing software/tools.
