We are currently seeking chefs to support Residential Aged Care Facilities and hospitality venues including hotels, pubs, restaurants and resorts across the region. About You

You will have experience running a kitchen which will ensure you feel comfortable stepping in to manage all facets of Food Services. You will have the ability to lead the day-to-day production with the assistance of kitchen hands and accept responsibility for the smooth running of the kitchen.


The Role

  • Prepare and cook meals ensuring that food is prepared safely and hygienically.
  • Ensure food is prepared to a high standard of quality and presentation, and check supplies to confirm freshness and suitability.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and ensure that they follow food safety protocols and hygiene standards.
  • Follow food safety rules, hygiene standards, and other regulations for serving food in Aged Care Facilities and hospitality venues.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months paid experience in a similar role
  • Minimum of Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or Cert IV in Commercial cookery/ Diploma in hospitality)
  • Food Safety and Handling Certificate
  • Valid National Police Check
  • Current Flu and Covid Vaccinations as per state government requirements (if working in an Aged Care Facility)
  • Drivers licence and reliable car an advantage
