About the Role:

We are looking for a talented and experienced
Chef
who specializes in
Indian cuisine
to join our kitchen team in Sydney. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience preparing a wide range of traditional and modern Indian dishes, maintaining high standards of hygiene, and ensuring quality and consistency in every meal served.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, biryanis, and regional specialties.
  • Plan menus and ensure variety and creativity in food preparation.
  • Maintain quality, taste, and presentation standards at all times.
  • Monitor food inventory, ordering, and storage to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards in the kitchen.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff as required.
  • Collaborate with management to create seasonal or special menus.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an
    Indian Chef / Cook
    in a restaurant or catering setup.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian spices, cooking techniques, and regional variations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification (preferred).
  • Must be currently in Australia or have valid work rights to work in Australia.
