Contract Administrator – Mining Titles

Austwide Mining Title Management is a leading mining tenement consultancy with over 30 years' experience servicing the exploration and mining industry throughout Australia. We provide comprehensive tenement management, compliance, and land access solutions to clients across all jurisdictions.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Contract Administrator – Mining Titles & Land Access to manage agreements associated with our mining and exploration titles across Australia. This role is central to ensuring the effective administration, negotiation, and compliance of land access, heritage, and statutory agreements, supporting operational objectives while meeting all legislative and regulatory obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and manage contracts and agreements relating to land access, heritage engagement, and mining tenure.
- Administer and monitor compliance obligations under land access agreements and relevant statutory frameworks.
- Attendance at National Native Title Tribunal conferences to negotiate heritage agreements
- Maintain accurate contract records, registers, and key milestones (e.g. renewals, variations, surrenders).
- Provide internal support to exploration, finance, and compliance teams by clarifying contractual rights and obligations.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including Traditional Owner groups, heritage consultants, and government agencies, during negotiations and implementation.
- Prepare and lodge statutory documentation and reports (including expenditure reports and tenement renewals) to ensure compliance with contractual and legislative requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Degree in Law, Business, or a related discipline, with a strong focus on contract administration, compliance, or regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in contract administration within a regulated industry (mining, resources, construction, or infrastructure preferred).
- Knowledge of land access, tenure, and regulatory processes within the mining or exploration sectors.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple agreements and competing deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven stakeholder management experience.
