About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Broker Assistant / Loan Processor to support our mortgage broking operations in Sydney. This role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of loan processing, lender requirements, and compliance standards who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

As a Broker Assistant, you will work closely with the broker to manage client applications from initial submission through to settlement, ensuring a smooth and professional client experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and lodge home loan applications with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Liaise with clients to collect necessary documentation and provide updates throughout the loan process.
  • Communicate with lenders, solicitors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely progression of applications.
  • Track applications from submission through to approval and settlement.
  • Maintain compliance with NCCP, lender policies, and industry regulations.
  • Update CRM and client records accurately and promptly.
  • Support the broker with administrative and operational tasks as needed.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years of loan processing experience within mortgage broking, banking, or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of lender credit policies and loan structures.
  • Familiarity with loan application software and CRM systems (e.g., ApplyOnline, Mercury, or similar).
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple applications simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
