Role Description

Granite Home Loans is expanding and are seeking a full-time Distribution/Sales Support officer to join our team in Sydney, NSW. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our distribution network and customers via phone, email, and other channels as required. The successful candidate will be responsible for educating and assisting these brokers with Granite products and how to deal with us. They will be fully supported by a desk bound broker support team that will assist once the application is submitted, and the State and National Partnership Managers.

Role Responsibilities

The Broker Support officer to is responsible for:

  • First line of support for our brokers, providing friendly and effective customer service
  • Communicate and manage relationships with internal and external business units on business and broker related queries
  • Assist brokers with Scenarios, Workshopping deals and escalations after deal submission
  • Educate the broker through process and systems and handling onboarding calls, scenarios, LoanApp and Simpology assistance
  • Thorough understanding of Bank Credit policies
  • Understanding of the documentation required for each client
  • SMSF lending and commercial lending experience will be highly regarded
  • Eye for detail and passionate to deliver.
  • Product and policy research based on the client's situation.
  • Serviceability checks, ordering valuations etc

Previous experience

  • Have experience working for a Non-Bank Financial Institution OR within the finance industry OR other sales/customer service orientated industry;
  • Be confident and capable of working in fast paced entrepreneurial business:
  • Have 2+ years' experience in the mortgage industry OR the finance industry in general OR in a sales/customer service orientated industry with a desire to move into a customer service/business support and development role with mortgages;
  • Strong customer service and business relationship management skills;
  • Strong organisational and planning skills;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Solid analytical skills and strong decision making capabilities; and
  • Self-motivated and driven to succeed.
