EL1 Nationwide Office Manager - Lead with Purpose in a High-Impact Federal Role

Location: Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide or Hobart

Contract Type: Initial 12-month Labour Hire contract with potential extension

Hourly Rate: EL 1 Level pay rates

Security Clearance: Must be an Australian Citizen eligible to obtain and maintain NV2 Clearance

As the EL1 Nationwide Office Manager, you'll take the helm of a diverse team spanning multiple states and territories, driving excellence in operational delivery, property and facilities management, and internal service standards.

Your Impactful Role

This is more than a leadership position - it's a chance to shape national operations and influence the agency's strategic direction. Sitting within the Corporate Services Branch, you will:

  • Lead and inspire a geographically dispersed team of Office Managers across Australia
  • Develop and implement smart, practical policies and operating frameworks tailored to different registry environments
  • Ensure compliance with Commonwealth legislation across property, procurement, and contract management
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external service providers to deliver best-in-class facilities services
  • Contribute to high-level reporting and planning, including inputs into the Australian Government Property Register and annual reports

What You'll Bring

  • Demonstrated leadership in multi-site or national operations, preferably within government or regulated environments
  • Deep understanding of Commonwealth property and procurement frameworks, including the PGPA Act and Commonwealth Procurement Rules
  • High-level communication and negotiation skills - you're comfortable advising senior executives and influencing outcomes
  • Proven ability to lead through change, implement improvements, and foster an engaged and high-performing culture
  • Strategic thinker with strong emotional intelligence and adaptability
