The Role

Duties

  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities including market engagement, tender development (RFQs, RFPs, RFTs), contract negotiation, execution and ongoing management.
  • Establish and maintain contractual frameworks, including SLAs, KPIs, governance arrangements, and compliance monitoring.
  • Work closely with internal and external finance and budget teams to manage funding allocation, track expenditure, and ensure compliance with aid and non-aid budget requirements.
  • Coordinate procurement activities through AusTender, DS4P, and BuyICT, ensuring compliance with Commonwealth processes.
  • Liaise closely with central procurement areas and enabling teams to ensure alignment and resolve procurement issues.
  • Develop and maintain procurement contract management tracking tools, including financial and agreement trackers, to monitor milestones, financial commitments, and reporting obligations.
  • Oversee SAP contract and purchase order management, invoicing, and financial reconciliation.
  • Provide regular input into procurement and financial briefs, risk assessments, and procurement strategy recommendations
  • Deliver probity oversight, maintain probity registers, manage conflicts of interest, and escalate matters when required.
  • Prepare contract closure reports, documenting lessons learned, verifying compliance and assessing supplier performance.
  • Promote best practice procurement governance, strategic funding alignment and efficient, transparent contract delivery across portfolio.
