We are looking for a State Account Manager to work with our team located in Melbourne.

HSK Ward Group is an Australian-owned company and operated company who has been trusted for six generations As a consumer, you will know us as McKenzie's.

McKenzie's provides essential ingredients to create precious food memories to savor with family and friends. You'll find our ingredients in major and independent retailers.

In the Foodservice and Industrial environments, you may know us as FTA Food Solutions.

FTA Food Solutions is a major supply-chain solutions-based importer and distributor of food products for the Australian, New Zealand and export markets.

The State Account Managerwill report to our National Sales Manager and work with the team to enhance team performance, execute sales strategies, improving the customer experience and build internal and external engagement in line with our HSK Ward Vision, Values and Purpose.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver on annual sales budgets and 12-month sales operational plans servicing existing customer portfolios and growing new customer business by prospecting and engaging decision makers consultatively in alignment with business growth plan
  • Execute a customer plan for T1 Industrial Customers
  • The focus of the lead generation plan must be aligned to company objectives for T1 or T2 customers only
  • Identify new & ongoing sales opportunities to increase the sales and profitability of the Industrial Channel, using consultative selling techniques
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide solutions to meet and exceed customer needs.

About you

  • The candidate must have a proven track record in building customer relationships and consistently achieving sales targets
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Food/FMCG or similar food category
  • Experience negotiating and influencing senior business leaders and key stakeholders
  • Able to work well under pressure and demonstrate a proven track-record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to effectively keep track of monthly sales progress and ability to forecast profit margins with strategies of achieving sales metrics
  • Have a growth mindset and easily adapt to shifts in priorities and ongoing change
  • Understand the real importance of internal stakeholders, and enjoy working collaboratively across internal divisions
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Business or Commerce desirable
