We are looking for a National Account Manager - QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) to work with our team located in Melbourne.

FTA Food Solutions is a major supply-chain solutions-based importer and distributor of food products for the Australian, New Zealand and export markets.

The National Account Manager - QSRwill report to our General Manager - QSR and be a key team member of the team responsible for the delivery of all key metrics within the QSR channel. The National Account Manager role is tasked to grow, engage and service some of our most important customers at HSK WARD. You will deliver a sales plan and execute with excellence to ensure budget delivery and growth performance ahead of the market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute annual national account customer plans, creating a pathway to deliver on growth strategies for HSK Ward and our key QSR customers (ensuring mutual sustainable growth).
  • Develop, implement and execute strategic business promotional plans with key national account customers (or supporting key accounts with their own development and execution of promotional activity).
  • Preparation and presentation of joint business planning and performance reviews with national accounts.
  • Utilise market insights to identify opportunities for new product development.
  • Ranging of new products (NPD) along with building distribution through emerging QSR chains.
  • Active participation and demonstration of leadership in S&OP forums (and/or other commercial forums) – ensuring that discussions on sales forecasts, stock holding, commercially related priorities and other inventory requirements are useful and drive desired sales performance outcomes and excellence in DIFOT.
  • Preparation and input into tendering process to build, or continue to build, long term commercial relationships.
  • Continued negotiation on product, price and service (including implementation of price increases – in line with product availability, supply chain costs, etc.).
  • Develop close working relationships with key customer contacts to strengthen the partnership and drive long term innovation.
  • Develop, sustain and manage strong internal, highly collaborative relationships in order to best service our customers and deliver on our promises.
  • Preparation of regular sales forecasts and commercial reporting targets, displaying key insights, recommending strategies/actions to close gaps or to optimise sales and profitability with key accounts.
  • SME input into sales capability projects/programs (e.g. development of tools, systems, reporting, templates to be used effectively by national accounts team).

About you

The candidate must have a demonstrated experience working with key QSR customers in the Australian market.


• Passionate for growth and engaging a portfolio of customers.


• High ability to identify new business opportunities with strong follow through to generate incremental revenue.


• Experience negotiating and influencing senior business leaders and key stakeholders.


• Able to work well under pressure and demonstrate a proven track-record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.


• Strong financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to effectively keep track of monthly sales progress and ability to forecast profit margins with strategies of achieving sales metrics.


• Have a growth mindset and easily adapt to shifts in priorities and ongoing change.


• Understand the real importance of internal stakeholders, and enjoy working collaboratively across internal divisions.


• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business or Commerce desirable.
