About the Role:

The Service Coordinator will play a key role for the Headway ABI National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Support Services, under the general direction of the Service Manager. This role will oversee the engagement and implementation of the Headway ABI suite and other independent registered supports and services under NDIS. The primary focus will be overseeing the effective and efficient management of client Supported Independent Living (SIL), Short Term Accommodation (STA), Respite and Emergency Accommodation and Community Services.

Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Workforce Supervision: Ensure client-centred service delivery through management and supervision of a qualified workforce.
  • Roster Management: Handle rosters and scheduling for effective operation of accommodations, aligning with client needs.
  • Policy Establishment: Establish and review policies and procedures for SIL, STA and Respite and Emergency Accommodation and Community Services, based on operational needs.
  • Client Assistance: Assist clients and their supports in understanding their NDIS plan, identifying service options within funding allocation, and building their own capacity.

About You:

  • Proven experience of 2 years or more in a similar role in the disability, health, or community services sectors with management duties.
  • Experience, knowledge and understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
  • Knowledge of client-centered practices with awareness and professionalism to form positive relationships within key stakeholders.
  • Ability to network, develop effective working relationships and collaborate to achieve targeted referral and support to achieve client goals.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to be able to relate and demonstrate respect to clients, families, stakeholders and outside agencies, as well as all Headway ABI staff.
