**About the opportunity**

With the introduction of the latest generation sorting technology, Australia Post has moved from an era of mechanisation to automation, where processing operations, equipment and software are closely integrated and aligned, and scanning capability provides customers with greater visibility of their freight from pick-up through to delivery. This will help us maintain our competitive advantage and provide high standards of service and delivery to meet our customers changing needs into the future.

**You’ll also**
- Be available to work night shifts, Sunday, 11pm - 6.51am, and Tuesday - Friday, 1am - 8.51am
- Provide high level advice and support coordination to assist the Manager and facility staff
- Manage the end to end processing activities of assigned shift efficiently and effectively to meet operational performance targets.
- Ensure adherence to an integrated production plan and participate in effective hand over procedures at start and end of shift.
- Drive performance and process improvement initiatives
- Assist in the Implementation and monitoring of all facets of Australia Post’s Diversity and OH&S Policies and Procedures
- Coach and where needed conduct performance conversations

**You’ll also need**
- Strong leadership and team building experience
- Experience in coaching and mentoring co-workers
- Strong customer service focus involving direct contact with customers
- Interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment
- Ability to be flexible during periods of change Implementation of safety culture change programs
- Proven experience of prioritising, planning and scheduling.
- Managing large numbers of staff within a culturally diverse workforce
- Experience in a logistics, production or operational environment

**How we’ll deliver for you**
- The salary for this position is $72,511 plus any additional penalties depending on your shift time, plus 12% Superannuation per annum
