**Job Summary**:
This role will play a crucial role overseeing, coordinating, and leading the daily production activities for the Food Service Packing team, ensuring efficiency, quality, safety standards and positive team dynamics are consistently met.

**What will the role involve?**

In this role you will be doing a range of different things, if we were to give a “snapshot”, the role would look something like:

- Working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Leading in implementing production plans for the team to satisfy customer orders and demand, as set by the Operations Manager.
- Overseeing and monitoring your team to ensure proper task allocation and rotation and coordinating adequate breaks for team within their work arrangements.
- Lead your team by example in production to deliver customer orders through assisting in: preparing and maintaining workstations and food products, labelling and organising product, and appropriate rotation of stock to optimise shelf life and minimise wastage, assisting in keeping the space clean.
- Maintain adequate levels of raw materials and alert the Operations Manager when supplies are getting low to ensure production requirements and planning needs are met in order to meet customer orders.
- Maintain inventory in a manner for effective and efficient production requirements and to avoid any loss of material and work with the Inventory Coordinator to ensure accurate records of stock and product.
- Monitoring and maintaining the safe operation of the site to achieve food safety, GMP and quality standards for all products produced as well as staff safety and ensuring equipment in a safe and operable condition.
- Maintain personal workload levels to ensure optimal workflow.
- Handle recipes and confidential information using appropriate control methods.
- Report and escalate issues as necessary to the Operations Manager.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
**What we are looking for**:

- Certificate 2 or 3 in Food Processing or HACCP certificate is ideal.
- Previous experience in food production and leadership to a team (preferable).
- Knowledge of health and safety rules in a food production facility.
- Knowledge of Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices in a food production facility.
- Some manual handling and lifting will be required.
- Reliable, punctual, courteous and ability to work as part of a team.
- Attention to detail with quality and cleanliness.

**Salary**: $27.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
