This established architectural products business specialises in premium door hardware for high-end residential and commercial projects. With proven success in Brisbane and Sydney, they're launching their flagship Melbourne operation and seeking a Business Development Manager to be part of this exciting new journey and own the Melbourne market.
This is a rare ground-floor opportunity with an established, profitable business. You'll receive comprehensive mentoring before taking full autonomy of the Melbourne market.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with architects, designers, builders, and industry professionals
- Position product range solutions early in the design process rather than as an afterthought
- Conduct product presentations and client consultations with a consultative, solution-focused approach
- Manage client relationships from initial contact through to project completion
- Develop territory strategy and identify new business opportunities within the A&D sector
- Support showroom operations once flagship space is established
- Collaborate with interstate team while operating independently in Melbourne
- Represent the brand at industry events and networking opportunities
Skills & Experience
- Background in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction, or related A&D industry experience
- Alternative backgrounds considered: A&D products, architectural hardware, building materials, or premium product sales
- Strong understanding of architectural specifications and construction processes
- Proven relationship-building skills with design professionals
- Confident communicator who's comfortable picking up the phone and making connections
- Self-motivated problem solver who thrives with autonomy
- Professional presentation suitable for premium brand representation
- Genuine enthusiasm for architectural products and design excellence
