About our HR Team
Our HR team is leading transformational change in our business. We have been flipping the way we look at how we Attract, Retain and Engage our people. From organisation design, developing a new EVP. Therefore, this role as Payroll Specialist will process the payroll and support the Head of HR, managers, supervisors and employees on a range of Payroll and HR activities, organisational development, and employee related queries.

- The focus of the Payroll Specialist will be to undertake payroll functions and support the Head of HR, managers, supervisors and employees on a range of Payroll activities, organisational development, and employee related queries.
- You will be a support for our Business, so you get exposure to a wide range of interesting Human Resource activities.
What you will be doing
- Maintain employee records, leave records and associated software
- Undertake payroll functions and support the Head of HR, managers, supervisors and employees on a range of Payroll activities
- Assist with month end and year end reporting and reconciliations.
- Maintenance of salary data to ensure wage payments comply with awards and agreements.
- Provide advice on HR and Payroll polices, process and procedures.
- Month end processing and reconciliation including superannuation, payroll tax and workcover.
- Generation of reports.
- Providing responsive service on payroll matters.
- Manage the payroll and timekeeping systems.
- Collect daily, weekly and monthly timesheets
- Calculate bonuses and allowances
- Ensure wages and tax withholdings comply with regulations.
- Enter new employees' data (e.g. bank accounts and tax identification numbers) into internal databases
What will make you successful
This role will best suit a savvy Payroll person looking to expand their skill base as a Payroll officer and get hands-on exposure and experience across HR advisory functions….you want to support, learn and grow
- Experience in Interpreting legislation, Awards and EBA's would be an advantage.
- Demonstrated sound numerical skills and 5+ years payroll experience,
- You want to bring your energy and your ideas to a culture where we are challenging ourselves on what good looks like constantly.
- Full function payroll processing, managing leave, new starter and employee terminations including redundancies.
- Award interpretation and applying relevant policies and procedures.
