About The Role
The eBriefings Support Officer enables the Ministerial and Government Services group deliver services to the Secretary and Ministers by ensuring its business applications function appropriately and that end users have the knowledge and ability to use them effectively.
Position Accountabilities
- Provide user support for eBriefings and other business applications as needed to optimise quality and timeliness of services to the Secretary and Ministers.
- Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure effective support across the department and its agencies.
- Assist as needed to ensure supported applications operate effectively and monitor business application performance and functionality
- Deliver training programs relevant to eBriefings
- Provide a range of administrative support
- Prepare a range of reports and system searches as required.

Key Selection Criteria
The Department of Transport and Planning is seeking a skilled
eBriefings Support Officer
to help deliver accurate, timely and high-quality ministerial briefings and correspondence.
In this important role, you will be capable of using a range of digital tools, including Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint and Word, to manage and track information, maintain clear records, and ensure a seamless flow of briefs across government.
Your strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills will enable you to interpret guidelines, resolve issues and make sound decisions when circumstances are complex or evolving. With a future-focused mindset, you will anticipate emerging needs, adopt new technologies and ensure your work supports the department's strategic direction. A systems-thinking approach will help you understand how your responsibilities connect to the broader organisation and drive effective solutions.
You will be capable of working across teams and fostering positive relationships and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
Success in this role relies on excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities. You will tailor communications to diverse audiences, build trust and collaboration, and respond constructively to stakeholder issues while monitoring satisfaction.
Qualifications And Experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (mandatory).
- Experience with SharePoint and the Microsoft office suite (mandatory).
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience of government services, processes and systems (desirable).
