Role Description

This is an on-site, full-time role for an Estimator located in the Greater Perth Area. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation. Daily tasks include compiling detailed cost estimates for various projects, liaising with clients, suppliers, and project teams to gather essential information, and assessing the costs involved in delivering our cutting and machining services. The Estimator will also be involved in negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to gain the most cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

  • Experience in cost estimation, financial analysis, and budgeting
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to work with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Knowledge of plasma and thermal cutting, as well as machining processes
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with relevant software and tools for cost estimation
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Previous experience in the manufacturing or construction industry is a plus
