The Department of the House of Representatives is seeking applications from those interested in directly supporting the work of the House of Representatives and members of Parliament at Parliament House in Canberra.

This is an ongoing opportunity within the Clerk's Office. The Clerk's Office supports the Clerk and Deputy Clerk of the House of Representatives, who are the two most senior officials of the department. The Clerk's Office coordinates a range of departmental activities and processes and provides high level support to the Clerk, Deputy Clerk, and the departmental Executive as a group, in their respective management and chamber support roles.

About the role

The occupant of this role will provide high level administrative support to the Clerk and Deputy Clerk in their respective management and chamber support roles, and will work with the department's Executive to coordinate administrative support to the broader department.

This role facilitates effective and efficient processes in the Clerk's Office and coordination of queries and requests to or through the office.
