Peeps Consulting have been engaged by Australian Community Media in the recruitment of a National Sales Account Manager (Media sales, selling into media agencies). The remit is largely proactive and requires a resilient sales hunter to extract opportunities in market. The role requires agency-relationships, sales experience and, ideally, experience in digital media.

Position Purpose
As an Account Manager, you'll play a key role in connecting clients with dynamic, multi-platform advertising solutions that deliver real results.
This is a fast-paced, rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll be the trusted partner for a portfolio of key agency clients—building strong relationships, understanding their needs, and collaborating with our team to create commercial opportunities.

Outcomes & Areas of Focus
Relationship & Customer Development
- Deliver and implement sales strategy for key customers.
- Retain, grow, and target clients through gap and growth plans.
- Develop professional presentations and proposals.
- Build relationships with key agencies and clients.
- Ensure high market visibility and identify proactive opportunities.
- Leverage market intelligence to identify new trends and commercial opportunities.
- Understand the complexity of agency relationships.
- Analyse competitor intelligence to increase market share.
Revenue Expectations
- Achieve revenue targets.
- Negotiate rates within predetermined structures.
- Source and secure new business prospects via client planning.
- Forecast sales revenue by client/agency.
- Provide solution-focused proposals to meet client needs.
- Identify incremental opportunities and develop value propositions.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Conduct regular meetings with internal stakeholders.
- Define clear communication and escalation channels.
- Mobilise internal resources to create successful client outcomes.
Health, Safety & Environment
- Comply with ACM's HSE policies and guidelines.
- Take reasonable care for personal and others' safety.
- Report hazards and workplace incidents.
- Participate in training and induction procedures when required.
Communication
Key Contacts:
- Sales Director, Group Sales Director, ACM peers, agencies, external customers, stakeholders.
- Daily contact for sales-related activity.
- Weekly WIPs with National Sales Director & Group Sales Director.
- External clients/agencies as required.
- Internal team as required.
Budget & Revenue Information
- Achieving set revenue targets based on agency allocation.
Recruitment Information
Essential
- 3–5+ years' experience in media sales.
- Media agency sales experience.
- Active client & agency network.
- Strong digital sales experience.
- Demonstrated issue resolution skills.
- Advanced MS Office & Google Suite skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisation.
- Proven industry contacts and relationships.
- Customer-service orientation with positive attitude.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Professional manner with openness to feedback.
- Resilient in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Desirable
- Broad work experience across media.
- Strong programmatic and digital knowledge (Google Ads Manager).
- Awareness of broader agency and marketing trends.
- Ability to cross-platform sell and articulate value to clients.
